Common questions
Our one-to-one leadership programme runs for either three months (six sessions) or six months (twelve sessions). Each session is 75 minutes. Most clients start with the shorter programme and extend if they want to tackle additional goals. Transition coaching for new roles is always eight sessions over 90 days, because that window has a natural deadline.
You arrive with an agenda. Sometimes that is a specific situation you handled badly and want to dissect. Other times it is a decision you are wrestling with. We spend the first ten minutes reviewing progress on the actions from last time. The core of the session is a structured conversation where we challenge your assumptions, explore alternatives and identify patterns. You leave with two or three concrete actions to complete before the next session.
Yes. We never share session content with your employer, your HR department, or anyone else unless you explicitly ask us to. If your company is sponsoring the coaching, we agree upfront on a short summary format (usually just themes and progress ratings) that you review and approve before it is shared. The details stay between us.
The six-session programme is priced at £3,600 plus VAT. The twelve-session programme is £6,400 plus VAT. Transition coaching (eight sessions) is £4,200 plus VAT. Team workshops are quoted individually because group size and preparation requirements vary. We offer monthly payment plans for individuals paying out of their own pocket.
Absolutely. About 60% of our clients have their coaching sponsored by their employer as part of a leadership development budget. We can provide a proposal document and scope of work that your HR or L&D team can use to get internal approval. The invoice goes directly to your company.
Both. If you are in central Scotland we can meet in person at our office in Walkerfield or at a location convenient to you. For clients elsewhere in the UK or internationally, we use video calls. Some clients mix the two: an in-person session to kick off, then video for the rest. The coaching quality is the same either way.
We ask for at least 48 hours notice. With that lead time, we reschedule at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged as a used session. Life happens, and we are flexible about occasional last-minute changes, but the policy exists because coaching works best when it has a reliable rhythm.
Coaching works well when you can identify specific leadership behaviours you want to change or improve. If you are looking for someone to tell you what to do, consulting might be a better fit. If you want a thinking partner who will hold you accountable while you figure out your own answers, coaching is likely right. Our free 30-minute consultation exists precisely to help you decide.
Our lead coach holds an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential and has logged over 2,000 coaching hours. Before becoming a full-time coach, they spent ten years in senior operational roles within FTSE 250 organisations. They also hold a postgraduate diploma in organisational psychology from the University of Edinburgh.
